Just some fun pics.....

Here are my two crazy haired boys.........so many similarities these two share....it can be scary at times.

Who wants to sit on Santa's lap.....

As you can tell Santa didn't go very well this year. It was a quick snap and then he was out of there. Noah did, however, enjoy the cookies and candy canes that were being handed out. Who knows if we will try to see another Santa. We may just savor this moment and try again next year. Merry Christmas!!

THANKSGIVING AT THE UBELS

Everyone had a job to do on Thanksgiving day.........I was designated photograhper - I think I did a nice job trying to catch everyone in action---keep it natural that way. Mom, of course, was head chef----delivering the hot rolls as seen in photo #1. I did take it upon myself to set the table. Ted's job was taste tester as seen in photo #2...perfect guy for the job.....and he assisted in the deep frying of the turkey. Jessy does what she does best and is tele-communicating with friends from a far as seen in photo #3.....she did also do a great job of filling the glasses with ice and tea....way to go sis!!! The boys were responsible for the deep fried turkey while my mom was roasting a turkey inside....here in photo #4 are the boys dressed for a cold day watching over the turkey. And finally in photo #5 is Tommy Flay.....as he called himself.....watching over his turkey to make sure the skin is extra done and crispy!!!!! It was a fun weekend by all and we ate lots of great food.

New Hang out...

Noah has found a new place to hang out.......and yes he climbs in and out all by himself.

He still is a very big helper to mom when she is doing the laundry. He loves to open and close all doors and will help move the laundry from the washer to the dryer. I hope he stays this helpful when he gets bigger.

Halloween...........

This year was Noah's official first Halloween trick or treating. We didn't practice long enough so he never said it but did figure out how to grab pieces of candy from the bowl. My parents came up for the weekend and had a great time getting Noah ready for his big night out. We met up with the other kids from the neighborhood for pizza and pictures before we headed off to get some candy. I think Noah enjoyed his Superman costume and definitely enjoyed all the goodies he recieved.

I just love me some pumpkins........

Carving pumpkins....

We carved pumpkins with Aunt Jenny and Aunt Jessy. This year Noah really got involved with the pumpkin carving......he helped clean out the insides, carefully watched Aunt Jenny trace her image onto her pumpkin and tried to use the little knife to cut out the image but was quickly stopped by mom.

Target Practice......

Okay, this was a different way to spend a Sunday afternoon but it was fun. Not that I could do this every weekend or even use it to hunt wildlife. The five of us (Ted, Darren, Jenny, my dad and myself) took out my dad's shotgun and headed down to the old dump to shot clay pigeons. It was my first and most likely the last but I am well educated on how to shoot one now. My dad offered to do some more target practice with his rifle next time we come into town.

Ted's turn....did well towards the end

Darren's up....did well....hit almost all of them

Master shooter.....Tom......hit them from all directions

Heather's turn.....hit none in the air :( Could only hit the clay pigeon laying on the ground 20 feet in front of her

Jenny mastered the word "pull" but that was it.......she too was unable to hit one in the air but finally nailed one resting on the ground

My Little Reader.....

Noah has been amazing me with how much he loves to read......or really be read to. Yes, at times I feel like pulling out my hair because it tends to be the same 2 - 4 books over and over and over and over. I try to send him to dad but he has figured out my tactics and sends him right back. I know it's a great thing but I wish he had a little more variety. He is learning alot though and is starting to recognize letters of the alphabet. And, of course he has his favorite 4 or 5 letters the best...... D, E, F, P and Z!!!!!!!!!!! He is a stinker but we love him.

A Birthday gift, perhaps!!!

Darren and his sis, Jaylene

The other cousins!!!!!!!
I think we were able to pull off a great surprise with Darren. At one point I think he thought something was up but due to great planning and distraction techniques he had no clue what was happening. It was a great time.

Garage Sale

Ted and I had our first ever garage sale this september. It was a success for the most part and a very interesting experience. Jenny came over that friday and helped me sale stuff (her stuff included). On Saturday, Ted and I had fun trying to get rid of more stuff and even labeled Noah to see if we had any takers. Of course, two woman right away said they would take him. So.....I took off his sign before anyone run off with him.

Friends from ARIZONA

Here are pictures of Noah and Larkin hanging out together:

Morning time!!!!!!

Okay....it's been a while....AGAIN!!

So I have some catching up to do......so here goes. I can't believe it's been months since I've added anything. Goes to show how quickly times flies by. We, of course, have been staying busy. We had our good friends Sara and Shaun come to visit us from Arizona at the begining of October. It was a great time and we stayed busy. They have a daughter, Larkin, that is the same age as Noah. I think he started to think he had a new roommate after the first night and was enjoying having someone to play with him. We have lots of pictures to share!!! We went to the K-State game at Arrowhead, which turned out to be a great game. Then, on Sunday traveled up to Schakke's pumpkin patch to find some pumpkins, drink cider and eat cookies.
